ASUS AC5300 XBOX ISSUES

VQ FAN

Occasional Visitor
I stumbled upon this forum while searching for answers to my issues. I recently purchased an Asus AC5300 for my home. This is an upgrade from my old Linksys WRT1900AC. Everything for the most part runs pretty good except my Xbox One now. I can't get my speeds to stay constant and I lost my open NAT type which was never an issue before. I also can reconnect my Linksys router and get an open NAT. The inconsistent speeds are troubling. They can go as high as 160Mbps up and 5.30 down which is normal. Then drop all the down to 15.72 up and 5.06 down. Latency used to be in the 40 ms range IIRC now it's 78-80ms. To add I can run numerous speed tests from my IPad or iPhone (wirelessly) and get my full speed every time. I have read a few threads on this forum and have made a few changes. However the issue is still present and I'm at my wits end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in what respect

have you enabled any of the trend micro aiprrotect settings

QOS is not enabled

Trend micro aiprotect is not enabled

WAN side connection? I apologize as I'm a bit of a novice to this

Is the xbox connection wifi or ethernet? If wifi any chance you can connect an ethernet cable, makes for a more reliable connection.

Does the xbox trouble occur while others in the house have trouble?

Cat 6 cable is always used with the Xbox. Never connected using wifi

It's just me and my wife in the house. I've run speed tests on their devices and those speeds are constant and match the incoming modem speeds (160 up and 5 down)

Does the slowdown last long enough where you can plug in a laptop or PC in place of the xbox then run some speedtests ?

Anything in router logs? No one else has trouble at the same time?

I've run speed tests while the issue was happening. And I get this. Havent checked the router logs.

No one has any insight on this at all? I've searched everywhere and still have the same issue. Surely someone has dealt with this before
