ASUS App - trouble connecting

I have an RT-N56U. Trying to log into the app but I just get an infinite loop. Any thoughts? Ive deleted and reinstalled the app and confirmed I am using the correct admin log-in.
 
What is the router firmware version?
What do you see in the App, can you paste a screen dump or photo?

Thanks for getting back so quickly. Here is a screen grab (attached) from my phone. Using the same username and password I can log in to the router from my computer.

Router firmware version -- 3.0.0.4.378_4850

App version is 1.0.0.1.26 from the apple store

The latest RT-N56U firmware is what you have: 3.0.0.4.378.4850
Support for the Asus App is listed as new feature with Asuswrt firmware 3.0.0.4.378.9313 (2015.11.06) which seems not available for the RT-N56U (like it is for e.g. the RT-N66U).
I am affraid you have to wait for a firmware update...if that will ever happen for the RT-N56U.
