ASUS CT8 USB on Node

I am testing the use of USB drives on my ASUS CT8 for use as a network backup. Running FW 3.0.0.4.386_47399 (latest\last)

It appears that while I can configure a USB device on the nodes, I am not finding any way to "Eject" the USB drive from the node. The USB on the primary device only displays it's connected device. Am I missing something?

In general, are there any issues running NTFS drives on this or other newer devices (ET9 specifically)?
Any issues running older 2.5" self powered HDDs. Do these sleep or run all the time?
What else am I not thinking of?

Thanks

If the data is valuable - get a real NAS. ASUS USB share option is not the best for reliability.

Whatever the AiMesh page on the main router offers. If you see no eject option- it doesn't exist. USB share on ASUS routers is in "check box" category and the level of success with it may vary. The lower the router class usually the worse. Some users are happy with it, some had corrupted drives. I know real NAS devices are expensive. If you have the USB drive already drive share on a PC is more reliable alternative.
