Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_37902 (2025/08/14)

Something had happened to my WLAN Performance:

Amazon Fire Stick, iPad, iPhone—everything has bad WLAN performance, YT needs a lot of time to load pictures of the video.

I installed the firmware update 2 times and always reset everything to factory default.

The only good thing you can add Adguard DNS for different WLAN's (but the BE98 is still only in default mode).

PC via LAN cable is still good.

As I mentioned there are no filters or other DNS installed.
Its still factory default with provider account (Telekom) settings.

Anyone has kept track of the latest beta firmware for the Be98 ?
Latest beta I've seen and have is 9.0.0.6.102_37292

laatste bètaversie die ik heb gezien en heb is 9.0.0.6.102_37292 is the number correct?

What do you mean ?
Of course it is for the GT-Be98.
Mine's on it :D
Isn't that beta firmware now really old - like 2 years+?
There was a newer beta 9.0.0.6.102.4856 for XT12 (part of the .102 code base though) and that is only slightly newer and that is circa 2023.

If you want the latest it's Merlin for BE98-PRO most of the time as he gets newer GPL's usually than released in stock, or wait out for the BE98 from GNUTON, which last release had newer GPL than stock.

I noticed a strange situation:
I have four consoles:
Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
Previously, with the AX82U DSL, I got Open NAT on all of them (with UPnP enabled on the AX82U DSL).
Right now, I'm playing with the Xbox Series X...and I get moderate NAT.
The solution was to put IP in DMZ.
I'd like to point out that if I changed the port on the Xbox, I didn't get Open NAT.
The same thing happened if I deleted the Xbox's MAC address.

Another strange situation:
If I disable the firewall, I get Limited NAT!
All tests were done by restarting the router and Xbox after the various changes.

Could it be that UPnP isn't working properly?
Could it be that NAT isn't working in Full Cone NAT mode?

Game radar Ping bug.
Ping from Italy incorrect

If you updated to the latest firmware, UPnP is disabled instead of enabled by default.
You'll either have to manually port forward, or enable UPnP.

Most likely it's Symmetric NAT, it's been quite a while since the Full Cone NAT was removed.
It was never accepted into the upstream kernel so the code needs to be maintained by whoever includes it in their product.
