ASUS N14-UHP 'internet connection type detection timed out'

New Around Here
Hello I bought this new router and it's the first router I will ever setup.

I was told it was easy to do so. I have been stuck for hours.

As far as I know my internet connection is a PPPoE, I got the internet username and password.

I it is coming from a 'fiber optic unit' on a wall, then an Ethernet cable coming from it will go The WAN port of the router.

Do I have to set this up manually? Here are my setting from past router

Any advice, sirs?

From the old one, you probably needed to release the IP address before you plugged in the new router. If you have it laying around, plug in the old one, go in to the admin console, probably under "network", "internet" or "WAN" there is a release and renew options. Just hit release, then unplug the router and plug in the new one and it should get an IP address and setup the internet connection type appropriately this time.

Or wait a few hours/maybe a day and the old IP address will have probably expired.
