Asus RT-AX58U & Toob DHCP

I have an Asus RT-AX58U which was using PPPoE with Zen, my previous ISP.
Today, I have changed to Toob and despite confirming before the change that I could still use my own router and WiFi system, when I contacted them for my username and password, they advised they only use DHCP!
They also advised this was 'plug and play' once DHCP was set.

'WAN/Internet Connection/Basic Config/WAN Connection Type' was 'PPPoE'
changed to 'Automatic IP' and left all default settings. No internet connection.

But 'General/Network Map/Internet Status reports 'Your ISP's DHCP does not function properly.'
Most of the internet links relating to this issue refer to connection issues or router timeout. As the Toob router works perfectly, so there is not an issue with connections or the service.
I have tried various fixes, such as updating the Merlin firmware (minor update) but I can't seem to get my router connected to Toob.

I have all my hard wired LAN equipment on fixed IP addresses as I find this to be more convenient when debugging issues.
As the router default is 192.168.1.1, and that appears to be the norm, I assume the DHCP allows Toob to assign my WAN connection to their own server DHCP, though I may be wrong!
It may mean I have to change the default to DHCP as well, if so, then how do I do that? (this would mean changing all my LAN equipment too as thay are also on fixed IP settings!)

Does anyone know what could be responsible for the failure to connect, and how I might be able to setup this router for a DHCP ISP connection?

You shouldn't need to make any changes to your LAN DHCP settings.

Quite often, after switching from an ISP router to your own, you need to power off the ISP modem and router for a couple of minutes. When you power them back on you should be working. (Power on the modem first, wait two minutes, then power on the router)

If you still can't connect another option is to clone the ISP router MAC address onto your Asus. Read the ISP MAC address off its label and type it into the Asus' WAN - Internet Connection > Special Requirement from ISP > MAC Address. Then click Apply.

I reset the router after each attempt as a matter of course.
No joy with the MAC code. I also tried adding the Linksys router name in 'WAN - Internet Connection > Special Requirement from ISP > Host Name'.
No joy with that either.

I used the app (only a WiFi connection for this router settings) and found the details of the Linksys DHCP:
Connection Type DHCP
IP Address 100.70.172.104
IPv6 Address 2a0e:700b:0000:fe14:28e8:58c7:c342
LAN IP Address 192.168.1.1
As I had IPv6 disabled, I enabled it in the Asus router. Still no joy.

Could there be an issue with the DHCP address range being affected by one of my settings?

No.

If you had configured any VLAN IDs for your prior Zen connection under LAN - IPTV remember to remove them.

All I can suggest at this point is you to go back to the basic WAN settings, reboot the router, then save the router's System Log (System Log - General Log > Save). Upload the log file to somewhere like www.file.io and provide a link to it for us to examine.

Yes I had 'Advanced Settings/LAN/IPTV/LAN Port/Manual Setting' with a PID value of 911 as a requirement of the PPPoE. Changed to 'None'.
Now working: hoorah!

In the meantime I contacted toob, they advised the Linksys IPv6 was not necessary, so I disabled that again in the Asus.
Thinking I might have to link my Asus to the Linksys and only LAN my Asus network through the Linksys WAN , I contacted toob regarding the default IP address of the Linksys router. They advised it cannot be changed!
I know it is their own interest, but the Linksys router they provide has very basic capability and settings. Ideal for most customers that just want plug and play, which works very well I might add, but not for those who want to do something more with their system.
