Hello all,
Long time lurker first time poster. I have an ASUS RT-88U that has been working fine until last month when I believe a power surge came through my house. I had the router on a battery back/surge protector and thought all was good until I tried power it up and found that the WAN port was spotty. I took the router apart and found two smb capacitor (I think) that were burnt. I want to keep this router because I enjoy it and it has been working flawlessly until last months incident. I am just curious if anyone can help me identify the correct smb component.
