Asus RT-A68U no phones connect

Have a new Asus RT-A68U.
With newest firmware.
Strangely none of the cell phones connect and be used to surf .
The old 66u dark knight could but was having to reboot
The phones are blackberry 9900, iphone 5s, android nexus 5.
All phones have newest firmware.
No exotic settings used either end
Any tips?

I also have noticed real weird behaviours on several wireless devices with the latest drives, including smartphones.

This was not happening before with older FW.

I just returned 68U to the store as no way in H 68U going to work here.
Son is programmer and he was questioning the '68U
Got the old Dark Night out did hard reset and my bold connects fine on 2.4 and 5
Go figure its running newest Asus FW for it.
