ASUS RT-AC5300 2nd 5GHz band & Game Tab Issue

Rana Imran

Occasional Visitor
Hi,
I recently upgraded to 3.0.0.4.384_81792 and noticed that there is no 2nd 5GHz band. This band is using Current Control Channel: 0 and there is no option other that Auto under Control Channel option.
Second, there is no more "Game" or Open Nat tab. I am really confused. Please help.

Remove the power connector from the back of the router but make sure the router's power button is still in the "on" position.

Wait for 60 seconds for any residual power to drain from the router's internal components.

Power on the router and wait for 5 minutes for it to fully boot.

If you still have the same problems I suggest you do a factory reset: Turn off the router, press the WPS button, then turn on the router. Wait about 10 seconds, then release the WPS button.

If it still doesn't work. I suggest you re-flash the router with the previously working firmware version, followed by another factory reset.

I have done with first 2 suggestions. But result is same. I don't know that which firmware was working fine before because I just bought it and I knew that it is Tri-Band Gaming Router.

Is anybody using the same firmware can confirm please.

Are you sure you haven't flashed the wrong firmware by mistake? The RT-AC5300 is not the same as the GT-AC5300.

I suggest you install the previous firmware version and see if that helps.

Have you tried the factory reset yet?
