I have botht the ASUS RT-AC5300 and an iPhone6+
When I use them together, my speedtest shows that the phone is able to download a little data very quickly, then there are a few seconds of no incoming data, then again a surge of data, few more seconds of silence, and then again more incoming data...
This how it always works.
When I use my old cheap Belkin router, it works fine with my iPhone. All my other devices work fine with the AC-5300, it is only my iPhone6 which has any issues.
So I was wondering if there were any known issues of compatibility between the two devices? Or is there a setting which is causing this issue?
