ASUS RT- AC66U - How to make OpenVPN Connection highest QoS Priority?

cmariotti

New Around Here
I have a remote office that has a low speed DSL connection. There are handful of Yealink T46G SIP phones, each of them has a OpenVPN connection to the head office, which is where the PBX is hosted.

How can I make 100% certain that ALL network activity from these phones is the priority (OpenVPN) over other devices/data?

I don't think it will be easy with the RT-AC66U.

The RT-AC56U or higher (anything with dual processors and 800MHz and higher speeds) will offer Adaptive QoS which will be a significant improvement over the low powered RT-AC66U.

I believe this to be true even with the 'low speed DSL' connection too.

How low are the DSL speeds?
