New Around Here
Looking for some guidance here. I was running John's fork for a while and things were pretty stable. I'm now running Merlin's latest. When I tried to upgrade from John's fork to the latest Asus firmware, My 5ghz band wasn't even detected by my radios, some radios are N and some are AC. As soon as I flashed Merlin's latest everything was working again and the radios could see the 5ghz band. I thought maybe it was a bad flash. Back on Merlin's firmware, my 2.4 Ghz seems pretty stable. I have several problems with my 5 Ghz band. I factory reset between all flashes.
My 5ghz slows down to a crawl, my upload speeds are signiciantly faster than my download. The router is in the same room when I'm performing my tests. I've disabled both beamforming options. When I reconnect to the 5ghz, things are ok for a little while, but they eventually slow down.
Would reflashing from recovery mode fix anything that a standard flash wouldn't?
