New Around Here
Hi,
I'm monitoring my router using PRTG over snmp v2 and all looks ok. Some small issues but it's enough for what I need.
I use 2.4 and 5 gig wifi. Last week I switched on guest wifi and the counters for the other wifi ceased.
Maybe this wasn't the guest wifi as such, but the router restarting the wifi completely.

Also, after a reboot I get most sensors working as before the reboot, but the 2.4 and 5 gig sensors don't always come back online. Waiting a few days sometimes reactivates them without any intervention.

If the SNMP sub system needs some work and/or testing I'd be happy to help out. If it's something I've screwed then I'll just sit back down quietly in the corner.

Thanks

Is there a mib to download to monitor this? I have 50 of these routers spread out and this would be a nice feature to use!

I disable all the Asus MIBs, because they're major security issues - SNMPv2 doesn't have authentication, and the MIBs expose passwords, WPA keys, etc...

And Asus has closed-source their proprietary extensions, so I can't just remove the risky ones. So the only MIBs available are standard SNMP/Linux ones.
