Can someone tell me how to configure an ASUS RT-AC68U behind an RL804W fiber optic modem/router provided by TMN cable so that clients connected to the ASUS can get internet access? The clients attached to the ASUS need VPN (nordvpn) and other benefits provided by the ASUS router.

The subnet on ASUS is set to 192.168.2.1 and the RL 192.168.1.1.

Alternatively, is it possible to replace the RL804W with another compatible fiber optic modem, if the above configuration is impossible?

Thanks, but those instructions only apply with one's router if it is directly connected to the internet, which is not the case. As indicated, the ASUS router is behind a TMN cable fiber router, a ethernet cable runs from its LAN port to the WAN port on the ASUS router.

It doesn't matter that your Asus is behind another router, the instructions are the same.

Being behind another router (double NAT) would only be an issue if you were setting up the Asus' VPN server, you're not you're setting up its VPN client.
