New Around Here
Hi although I have the ASUS RT-BE92U WiFi 7 Tri-Band 9700Mbps 10gb router.
I need to add 2 extenders . What's the best extenders I can use . Im currently in the middle of the roof with the main router but need to extend to each wnd of the loft to cover the front and rear garden.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Andy

The best thing to make a mesh network is that all the routers (main and extensors) be the same model, but if it places different models, you should only ensure that the main one is the one with the best characteristics, since otherwise the rest could have limitations.

I have had an AX86U Pro as the main router and a AX58U as a node until a couple of months ago and I haven't had problems.

Use LAN cables if at all possible to connect the nodes to the main router. Then you can use ordinary APs or wireless routers in AP mode to extend the wireless. You can also use AiMesh if you prefer instead of AP mode. Also, you will want to minimize overlap in RF signal between the APs and main wireless router, and between the two APs. The 2.4 GHz band is usually the most likely to overlap.

If you have to use AiMesh, then previous advice works. Make sure all three are on same generation of firmware as well to minimize issues. Nodes/main wireless router using a dedicated backhaul radio will give the highest available bandwidth to clients.
