ASUS rt-n56u on a mac

New Around Here
I just hooked up my rt-n56u router, and after the firmware update all I've got is a blinking power light. I've put it in rescue mode and have tried downloading the firmware, but on a mac I have no application that will run the .trx file

can anyone help?

Do you perhaps have access to a friend's Windows box, or one at work? Otherwise, how about doing a WinXP or Win7 virtual machine on your Mac? Or using Wine to run the utility(ies)? Then all you'd need to ensure is they'd have visibility and control of your NIC and the hard-line ethernet connection to the Asus, and you should be good to go. Easier said than done, yes, but should be doable.
