ASUS RT-N66, PPTP doesn't work, should I try OpenVPN?

New Around Here
Hey gang,

So i've been able to set up VPN on my Asus. PPTP works flawlessly...However it causes troubles in the office.

We have two connections in the office - Wireless and LAN. Wireless has less restrictions and is usually heavily used so speeds drop down to 150kbps...PPTP works on wireless. When I switch to LAN and try VPN it gives me errors like the one attached. Probably some ports are blocked at the firewall.

There are few custom firmwares that have OpenVPN functionality, should I try OpenVPN, from what I can understand it works differently (I'm pretty lame with VPNs so dont laugh hard :D)

Also if you have a solution for my PPTP to work I would appreciate that, don't feel like reflashing the router tbh.

Thanks!
