Asus RT-N66U Merlin will not flash

As per instructions, I am using RT-AC68U firmware. I browse to the file, select it, click upload and the process starts then has an error 'invalid firmware upload....incorrect image or error transmission'. I d/led the firmware again, checked the integrity with the same result.

With that error, I'm hesitant to use the firmware restore application.

any ideas guys?

Yes. You can't use the firmware for the rt-ac68u on an rt-n66u.

Hey, thanks for the reply. In Merlin docs it says

"RT-AC66U_B1 (use the RT-AC68U firmware)"

thats all I had to go by. Has something changed?

AC66U_B1 not equal AC66U (without B1) not equal to N66 (what is in your title)
