New Around Here
I have just spent a couple of days playing with cables, resets and configurations, trying to get an Asus RT-N66U connected as a second router.
The problem was LAN-LAN did not set the system clock, and had strange DHCP conflicts. Setting up LAN-WAN did set the system clock, DHCP was all fine, but there was NO internet connection from LAN side connected PC's or wireless phones.

If anyone is having the same problem, then here are my settings which work.

Cable Modem IP 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0
Asus RT-N66U
WAN Ip 192.168.0.10, Subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS 192.168.0.1
LAN Ip 192.168.2.10, Subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS - N/A
LAN DHCP 192.168.2.110 ..254, Subnet N/A, Gateway NULL !!!

The BLANK gateway for DHCP clients was the key to getting internet for me.
Asus RT-N66u, Wireless Router Mode, AsusWRT_Merlin 380.65
Hope this will help someone.

Double-NAT is usually a bad thing.

So how did you solve the no internet problem? I am having a similar problem too.

Thanks.

I am trying to set up two routers that will have different DNS on two routers. So far the 2nd one picks up the DNS of first one. Can we assign DNS per LAN of first router or per MAC address? Thanks.

How will the two routers be connected (wired or wireless)?
In what Operation Mode do you set the router which has no direct Internet access on its WAN port?
