Asus RT-N66U slow wired network

I have an Asus RT-N66U connected to a Modem router (TP-Link CR700 - in bridge mode - used with my Time Warner Cable service) located within two feet of each other. The Asus is the primary router. The Asus router is using Asuswrt- Merilin version 380.57. The TP_link and the Asus are connected with cat5e cable. The input to the Asus is the WAN port. When I am in the admin page of the Asus router under Tools I can see the ethernet ports and their speed. The WAN port shows a speed of 1000 mbps. However the other four ports (ports 1 - 4) only show 100 mbps. How can I change the setting of the Asus router to allow for 1000 mbps to ports 1 - 4? Ports 2 and 3 have devices that are connected to them that are no more than 10 feet away.

Thanks
John

Do the connected devices have gigabyte adapters? If the devices have only fast Ethernet 100 Mbps adapters the port on the ASUS will auto negotiate to this speed.

Only one of them does have gigabyte adapters. Could that one be affecting the other ports (port 2)

It shouldn't if it is not damaged and working correctly. A bent or shorted pin, broken connector, bad Ethernet card could pull the entire switch down.

Take the known good gigabyte device and a good cable (Cat 6) if you have one and test each LAN port individually. If all the LAN ports light up as gigabyte then the problem isn't with the router.

Good idea. Thanks. If i find that doing this still produces no change, any other suggestions.

Thanks
