Release ASUS TUF-AX6000 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_33903 (2025/03/17)

WiFi seems to work fine with this latest FW version 3.0.0.4.388_33911.

I did have some slowdowns regarding websites loading, as was very often the case with 3.0.0.4.388_33903, but I rebooted the router and the connection has been trouble-free since. Doing so with 3.0.0.4.388_33903 only solved the issues for a very short while.

I'll test over the weekend and will give my feedback here.
Regards,

Good to hear that the issue is likely resolved. I hope this firmware build gets released for other MediaTek-based models soon. I encountered the same website loading problem on my RT-AX59U, so I temporarily replaced it with the RT-AX82U. Please let us know if the issue is fully fixed for you - I’d rather not unbox the RT-AX59U unnecessarily.

Hi there, I am reverting back to 3.0.0.4.388_33427, as I have been experiencing episodes of relatively short but nonetheless annoying slowdowns in webpages resolution/loading with 3.0.0.4.388_33911, as with 3.0.0.4.388_33903 but fortunately not nearly as often.

It rarely happens with 3.0.0.4.388_33911, but still happens, whereas it never happens with 3.0.0.4.388_33427, so I am reverting back to this one which gives me no issues.

Did anyone else try 3.0.0.4.388_33911? I'll issue a report to Asus first, but I am done with tha version.
Regards!

Thanks for the report. Unfortunately, this isn't great news, as it seems all future firmware versions will include this "feature." Since I only own the RT-AX59U, I'll have to wait for the firmware release for this model to check.

3.0.0.4.388_33911 is now available from the router's FW upgrade page (it was not when I checked on Thursday).

This is good, as it will eventually, after 2 months , fix most of the issues that appeared with 3.0.0.4.388_33903 for users who left the automatic upgrades enabled, as they are by default.

I would still recommend disabling automatic upgrades and sticking with 3.0.0.4.388_33427 for the time being in order to avoid all WiFi issues.

Damn ive been having the same issues, assets not loading, but speed test still seemed ok.... things seemed to be better after resetting the isp modem/router so I embarrassed my self calling anf blaming the ISP, when it was Asus's fault all along...

been using the router in AP mode and letting the ISP router do the work and things have been fine

hopefully this new fw fixes things

I'm having the same issue in 33911 - TUF AX6000. Youtube randomly buffers. Thumbnails don't load consistently on multiple sites. Web pages will randomly take 10-15 seconds across all devices to load but speed tests show full bandwidth and normal latency (3.6ms). Will revert to 427 tonight.

Question - Does 427 close the SSH backdoor vulnerability?

33427 was the first to fix the SSH backdoor. However, I still recommend the latest OpenWrt snapshot build for TUF-AX6000 / TUF-AX4200 / AX59U - they're based on MediaTek's Filogic 830 platform, very stable and fast - https://openwrt.org/toh/asus/tuf-ax6000#using_the_unofficial_trx_images_method
I was thinking about trying openwrt but I also have an RP-AX58 node connected via AiMesh, which I don't think has an openwrt firmware. Would I lose the ability to mesh with it if I flashed openwrt on the AX6000?
