asus web and storage

hi all.

i have setup my usb and it was working good.
i then decided to add passwords to the shares, and setup the asus sync.

now i open a share in windows and after entering the user name and password it opens.

now the folder created by setting up the web storage sync can be seen in windows network but does not allow me to open it with any of my passwords. but that share folder can be opened with the android web storage app using the sync folder user name and password.

another issue i now have is with the aicloud app on my android phone. I was able to open the asus router in the app and see shared usb drive before i added a password. now if i open the aicloud app and select my asus router it ask's for a user name and password. the router/share user name and password that works in windows does not work on the app.

hope this makes sense and someone can help.

Keep in mind that you cannot connect with two different users at the same time to a given device. If you share the Asus Webstorage folder on your router, you will have to share it with the same user you are using to access the other shares on that router.

The router will also prefer that you capitalize the username the same way all the time (i.e. "merlin" and "Merlin" might be considered two different users).
