Ever since the 3/2025 version 25138 most of my 6GHz clients are only connecting to 5GHz on secondary nodes. I was going to revert again but I do have a single device connecting at 6GHz to that secondary node, whereas before every capable device would stay on 6GHz…

OK I spent the day playing with this new FW and wanted to share my data points in case it helps someone else.

I updated directly from the March FW, because a few of the releases between March and October made me lose 6GHz completely.

I did an in-place upgrade and at first, only one client would connect to 6GHz, the rest wouldn’t. I then changed the 6GHz transmit power from max to the middle, and then changed it back. I then used the AiMesh system reboot (not just the reboots that come with setting changes) to have the whole system come back online together.

After all of that:
* Clients (except 1) closest to a secondary AiMesh node still refuses to connect to 6GHz. On problematic clients I checked logs and it does see the 6GHz channels… so not sure what’s going on here.
* Clients closest to the main node are connecting to 6GHz according to the Client List pretty regularly. I did notice a bug in the Client List where some clients would say they are connected to 5GHz but at 2000Mbps speeds, and given the ET8’s specs, 5GHz maxes out at 1200Mbps, so I think this means 6GHz is actually working?

So just like post March firmware I’m having issues with secondary AiMesh nodes and 6GHz
