Having an odd issue on my GT-AX6000 on this firmware. I noticed a while ago that the Traffic Monitor seems to start the next day early. Looking at the Traffic Monitor at midnight, it is already showing bunch of traffic for the coming day. Not exactly a showstopper, but it is odd. Other than this, the firmware is operating perfectly.

Note: not seeing this with the RT-BE96U, that seems to have a better idea of what time it is *smile*.

Do you have nntp enabled and set to the correct time zone? See: /Advanced_System_Content.asp

Since upgrading to the latest Asuswrt-Merlin firmware, I’ve been seeing persistent connectivity issues that weren’t present before the update.

Specifically:
  • My Ring Alarm hub is generating very frequent disconnect/reconnect alerts.
  • Large file transfers across my LAN over Wi-Fi now fail consistently (small transfers seem fine).
I’ve checked system logs but don’t see anything obvious that explains the behavior. I’ve also tried multiple reboots, factory resets, and a fresh firmware install, but the issues persist.

Wired LAN traffic appears stable, which makes me suspect a Wi-Fi-related regression in this firmware although interestingly, using a Deco mesh system in AP mode for my WiFi radio gives same results but using the same AP with another router (Flint 2) without changing any of the radio settings and it works perfectly.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues since upgrading, or found a workaround (e.g., specific Wi-Fi settings to adjust or reverting to a previous firmware)?

Care to provide details of your router and its current configuration?

Router is RT-BE88U and even with the very basic of configuration, leaving WiFi settings untouched or turning WiFi radios off altogether and relying on my AP instead, I am facing this issue with this latest firmware. Not really desperate for a solution as my Flint 2 is working quite well for now but curious to see if anyone else has encountered the same issue (particularly the inability to transfer large files over my LAN wirelessly).

Maybe simply stick with your Flint 2 ?- a mighty impressive and abundantly stable router for significantly less $ than the other one.?
Lucky me - this firmware works the best yet on my GT-AX6000. Rock solid with zero fails.

Oh, have I touched a nerve or something here? Apologies if that was the case.

Nope - just firmly believe that if it ain't broke [in this case the Flint 2] - don't fix it ... just enjoy it 😁
