Question - Can Asuswrt-Merlin firmware start or stop my pre-configured Open VPN clients from the SSH/telnet command line???
Ex. Like - "service start_vpnclient1" or "service stop_vpnclient1"
Background:
I have a RT-N66U =>stock firmware (ver:3.0.0.4.380_8120) latest as of March,2018.
From the stock ASUS web GUI, I have set up, and can successfully turn on and off my Open VPN clients. From Googling this forum (and past experince with prior ASUS firmware) I know that "service start_vpnclient1" or "service stop_vpnclient1" should work (but no longer does with the latest firmware release).
If I switch over from stock firmware to Asuswrt-Merlin, will this command line functionality come back?
I want to be able to have my home automation system send command line instructions to have my router Turn On/Turn Off my pre-configured VPN clients (like when I launch Kodi).
Thanks in advance....
