New Around Here
Hello everyone. Running into some issues and I could sure use your assistance.
A little about my network.

Att Elite DSL 3.0 - 6.0Mbps
2Wire 2701HG-B Wireless Router
3 x wireless PCs (2 laptops and 1 desktop)
1 x iPhone
1 x Nintendo Wii

I was told that the 2 computers that run World of Warcraft that should be able to run simultaneously, but there is a lag issue.
Now there may be occasions were all 4 devices are running at the same time, but is extremely rare.

Am I asking too much from my DSL providers router? How do you suggest I resolve the issues above? Cable internet is not available currently, my choices are DSL, Dial up, or Satellite (which is too costly).

I did a speed test:

Thanks in advance.

Try eliminating the wireless first by running long cables if necessary temporarily to the stationary devices. Do a test with that, and if the performance is adequate, choose between looking at improving the wireless or sticking with wired. Personally, I'd go wired as it's much more stable / less susceptible to interference / load / etc.

yes, try a temporary wired connection. you may have occasional competition for WiFi air time (low latency) due to neighbors' activities. If so, changing your wireless router's channel number (1, 6 or 11) may help.

But know too that WiFi is wireless and thus subject to irregularities that come and go due to shared-use of the RF channel.

And too, I think, AT&T's system is inferior to others'

I doubt it.
The AT&T problem is a more than lousy DSL infrastructure. Everyone I know that uses AT&T DSL has poor and unreliable service. YMMV.

If you don't mind the cost, dump AT&T and get a cable modem.
