Bit of an odd question...but can we be allowed to use avatars?

Sure. Don't you have the option to add one in your User Control Panel (User CP link in the menu bar at the top of each page)?

There aren't any avatars to choose from and it doesnt let u upload your avatar

Usually there should be some avatars with radio buttons underneeth, an upload box beneeth?

Perhaps you've disabled uploading of avatars and have not defined any premade ones?

Tim my got pulled when the option to post images was gone..

The forum had always allowed profile pictures, but not avatars. I can now have an avatar, so the capability must have been added later, or (more likely) avatar permissions don't extend to the Registered Users usergroup.

Sorry, folks. The correct permission bit wasn't twiddled. It is now.
