I'm using two AX11000 Pro XT12's; one as router and one as mesh node. Primary use is streaming 4K video from the mesh node to TV.
This article from Asus https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1048088/ describes how to set up for dedicated backhaul on the 5GHz-2 channel. Setting up the backhaul per instructions on pages 5 and 6, when the "Hide SSID option" is set to "Yes" and you attempt to activate the settings a message is displayed saying the WPS function will be disabled (I assume only for this channel).
Does anyone know:
1. With the SSID = off and WPS disabled does this pose a serious hacking threat for this channel?
2. Is setting up the 5GHz-2 channel as a dedicated backhaul with the SSID = off (which turns off WPS) faster than setting it up with SSID not hidden and WPS still on?
