AX200 M2 Antenna

I was wondering if anyone knows where the 5Ghz antenna should be installed: on Main or on Aux. I got an external set of antennas but I can only install one on the Lenovo Tiny, the other one needs to stay inside.

It seems like it uses both antenna connectors for both bands, thus both antennas need to be able to handle both bands. May be best to just use the "Main" connector. and check if Bluetooth still works properly.

other than that, throughput will be lower since 1 stream will be missing, though if there is enough space, you can do something that works decently on some netbooks. is to have a u.fl PIFA or the basic PCB trace u.fl antennas antenna that you can stick somewhere in the laptop case if it is plastic. It will not be ideal placement, but it will be better than having a single antenna only.

The Lenovo Tiny user manual that I looked at describes replacing the built-in WiFi adapter but didn't specifically mention which connectors to use - just use the placement that's already there. It also showed where to fix a second external antenna should you choose to do so.

Do you mind sharing the external installation of the second antenna link, I went through all the manuals on manualslib.com and I could not find how to do it. I installed an internal one but I think it doesn't do much justice. My Tiny came without a wireless card. Thanks.

You model is slightly different from the model I was looking at (M720). For that model they were using one of the two (you appear to have one) optional connector punch-outs to mount a second external antenna.

Even though your model didn't come with a wireless card did it come with the internal antenna cables and the "front Wi-Fi antenna"?

Thanks. My unit did not come with any antennas or wires. There is no room to drill a another whole on the back grill. I tried placing the external antenna inside but there is also no room.

What about using the "Optional connector" panel (number 10). That's where I saw it being mounted in the M720 manual.


Alternatively, you could buy the internal antenna unit and use that.
