AX88U NTP sync fail

Hi

I try to make my AX88U a NTP server for other Windows PCs.

NTP sync fail is error in syslog, but the system actually shows accruate time&date.
When I try to sync some PCs with my AX88U, it says sync is failed.
What do I miss here?

What firmware as you running on your router. As far as I know the stock Asus firmware doesn't have an NTP server.

Stock latest one- 9579.
Used to work fine in a little while.
The last 2 FW just blocked it.

I can find nothing that suggests the stock Asus firmware has ever had its own NTP server. Maybe some other forum members can clarify this.

I do not know whether NTP server its the best definition.
In early August, just a bit after recived the AX88U, it worked just fine (9559).
In every other FW update- nada, NTP sync fail.
Server still respondes, tried several DNS resolvers.
I don't know what the issue could be.

When you say "NTP sync fail" I don't understand whether you are talking about the NTP client on the router of the NTP client on a Windows PC.

Mainly meaning for the ASUS error from syslog:
hour monitor: ntp sync fail, will retry after 120 sec
It actually never sync.

If you would try to sync the WINDOWS PC once it has an error like that on ASUS router, you would get a following error that timeout has been reached.
And IT DID WORK before, now just NTP not sync so accoedingly, not working.
