AX88U Pro 3006_102.4 - connection broken, even asking for password, etc

New Around Here
Hi,

After upgrade to RT-AX88U_PRO_3006_102.4_0 from RT-AX88U_PRO_3004_388.8_4, somethings got wrong.
- Sometimes my devices cannot join 5G WiFi after booting/rebooting
- Sometimes 5G WiFi is not seen
- Sometimes my devices asks password for 5G WiFi (even they were connected before)

I restarted AX88U Pro several times, but this was not a solution.

My devices:
- Windows 11
- MacOS Sequoia
- iPads
- iPhones (iOS 16, 17, 18)

I googled but could not find similar issue.
After writing this, I am going to revert to 3004_388.8_4 and check if similar issues happen.

Thank you.

yes, but this is a new branch. Highly recommended to factory reset after loading the new firmware . Then configure manually a minimal config for testing. No scripts, add ons, etc. Sometimes, it can take several factory resets.
Test the lan connections first before moving to wifi testing.

You are upgrading from one firmware track (3004.388.x) to a different, newer, firmware track (3006.102.x) with significantly different features. Try doing a hard factory reset followed by a manual configuration. Do not import a saved router.cfg file. If you have a USB drive attached to the router, disconnect it prior to doing a hard factory reset and do not reattach it until the router is properly manually configured and running properly.

Edit to add: Also note that certain addon scripts are not compatible with the 3006 Asus-Merlin firmware. YazFi being the prime script that does not work with 3006 firmware. Other addon scripts will need to be updated. See the addon subforum and it's respective script discussions for more on 3006 firmware support.

And then there is this issue apparently
