Backhaul question for Aimesh

Scansbar

Occasional Visitor
Hello everyone, I just bought a second ac68u roiter and just upgrade to the latest asus firmware and was wondering since they ate aimesh wirleeslessly is there a way to see if I'm on a 2.4 or ghz band for the backhaul. I've seen in previous posts users have it in the wireless log but my log only shows my 2.4ghz and its clients and 5ghz and clients no aimesh details. If anyone knows it would be appreciated. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Your wireless backhaul MACs, similar to your WLAN MACs listed under Network Map\System Status, should be listed in the Wireless Log. Their RSSI and Tx/Rx rates will give you an idea of your backhaul performance. I can't say which band is actually being used... presumably the fastest one(?).

Ok cool, I assume the same just wanted to know incase it misbehaves to determine if for some reason it switched to a 2.4 band but Iperf should give me a bandwidth test, just wanted to know if there was a field that I missed that would indicate the wireless connection. Thanks for your time

turn of 2G and test speed, then vice versa with 5G and do it again.
Turn on both and compare speed you get with the above.
