BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.9.0 -Sep 6, 2025- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Available in AMTM!)

This mapped W: drive is not the same thing as browsing to \\192.168.50.62\Backups

Can you please put this network share address into your top Windows Explorer bar and see what it comes back with?
How do you do that?

Ok just figured out:

Not seeing it yet....? Your Windows Explorer is still using a mapped W: drive.

Would you happen to have a spare computer laying around your network that you could use that doesn't have any drive mappings to your NAS? Seeing if it can reach \\192.168.50.62\Backups (from the top bar in Windows Explorer) would be a great test.

Thanks Viktor...

It is now working and presently performing a backup on my NAS:

Sometimes I can be blind (ans stupid). How come I did not realize that I should also add the NAS DS220 Plus to the path name. I have realized that while typing the path in Explorer.

Don't beat yourself up — it wasn't obvious to me either. I created multiple shares on my NAS, so there's no need to use the device name in my paths.

I know that but can help it lolllllll. (There was a time when such mistake would not have happened but now at +70...).

It's still a strange looking path, but hey, if it works it works. Yeah, trying things out in Windows Explorer is always a good way to test connectivity like this. If it works there, it should work on the router too. ;) Good job, @ColDen!

Finally someone older than me! 🤣

I was working mostly with young college graduates (about a 40-year difference) for the last 5 years before my retirement, so I do understand you. 🤣
Here a doctored picture that will help you understand why I called myself blind and stupid not having caught that "stupid" (in my book) omission in the path name (this is what I was referring as "tunnel vision" in my prime days lolllll).

That's some serious maths to determine the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow!

Being only 5+ years your junior, I certainly experience the same lapses. 😵

That might be true, but you always have to remember that it might also be carrying 100 souls.
