Ok, I tried adjusting it to "WDS only" - and then no clients can connect to the network anymore.
If I understand it correctly, "AP only" is "WDS off", any by setting to WDS only, you basically turned off a bunch of other stuff including those hidden networks.

. That Mac address isn't just for WDS, it's just that switching to WDS only effectively disables whatever else was using that address. So maybe it is AiMesh after all...
