Best Backup Software Solutions

I currently have a laptop and a desktop pc's backing up to an Iomega ix2-200 2gb (raid1) NAS. I'm not too thrilled with the NAS but I'll put that in another thread. I use Cobian right now to do the backups. Cobian is ok but a little much for my needs. I am looking for a clean little backup solution that will do differential scheduled backups. What is everyone using? How come this isn't talked about more on these forums?

As a side note, do Synology or Qnap have backup solutions on the NAS? On the Iomega I can use the "Copy Jobs" feature to do this but it wasn't really intended for this function and I'm not too sure about the reliability.
