Best Wi-Fi repeater ( extender ) ?

New Around Here
Hi. I did research over whole internet but can't find any information about what repeater is the best today?

I got weak signal and need it to be it much better. What you can advice me? I think most important option for one repeater is to catch any wireless signal with good strength.

If you can manage to get a cat5 cable from your router to somewhere nearer the weak signal area, you can use an Access Point (AP) rather than a repeater. An AP can be purchased, or adapted from any WiFi router.

Failing that, have you considered using HomePlug AV instead of a repeater?

Repeaters (WDS) are quite problematic.

Akella,

What kind of distances are you needing to cover with your wireless device? Do you have obstructions (walls, floors, trees, etc.) between your wireless source and your wireless clients? How many wireless clients do you have to service?

As Stevech points out, you will probably have better performance with a wireless Access Point vs a Repeater, if your situation can be resolved from that approach. I am covering a pretty large area and multiple floors with wall obstructions with just one Access Point right now.
