Bricked rt-n66u

I've got the router hooked up to serial console so I can watch it do its thing as I try to unbricked it.

I've used the restoration utility, after its done programming, I get a message about the IP address being wrong or something.

I tried using tftpd32, it says firmware uploaded but just sits at programming.

I tried through serial console, nvram erase, flash -noheader : flash1.trx, again it just sits at programming.

Now m trying through the mini cfe server but its just sitting at programming.

This isn't my first unbricking but this has me stumped.

Any ideas?

The secret is waiting, disable firewalls (ESET must be disabled in my case) and upload the FW and wait for sucessfully upload message, the router will reboot automatically after some minutes, it could take 5-10m sometimes more, just simply wait :)

You should have your router back then, good luck.

It's been over 30 minutes. I don't have eset. Firewalls disabled.

Fixed!

I guess I was being impatient. Started the last try right before my Italy started playing the hooligans :D.
Checked at halftime and it was working. So it needed about 47 minutes. Lol.
Why doesn't it display anything in putty as it is programming?

So who was right about it? LOL

That was slow, you need a overclock your router kkkkk :P

How you've done the FW upload?

Salut.

While connected to serial, I issued nvram erase. Opened up Firefox and uploaded through the mini sever.
I've unbricked many of these using the restoration tool. This is the first time it wouldn't work.

Next I will check the bootloader although since its a B1 with .276 on the label I bet it's 1.0.1.2.

Ok, good luck with it :)
