Bypass CenturyLink Modem

I want to do what's described here with my RT-AC68P. I don't see the VLAN settings option but I'm guessing I can SSH into the router to set that up. Can anybody verify for me that this can be done and maybe outline what I'll have to do? Thanks!

I'm on the most recent Merlin firmware.

Should be easy to setup under the IPTV tab... see how I set it up on my N66U with a few screenshots linked to here. heh, and that screenshot was also posted in the comments of what you linked to, by me.
