Bypass wan dns filter

I'm facing a problem about dns filtering.
My wan router has a build in dns filter, so if I change the DNS, all queries are redirected to the default one.
Unfortunately the router is proprietary, and I can't change/disable this setting, nor I can change the default DNS server.

Is it possible in our asus router to bypass the wan filters?

Your only option may be to run a VPN client on your PC.

It is possible that if the router you are connecting through is VERY tightly locked down the IP addresses for many common VPN providers will be blocked and/or the pass through of common encrypted VPN data packets will be blocked. The great firewall of China is very effective at preventing most common VPN connections.

Many VPN services will let you sign up for a seven day trial for a few bucks. Try a couple services and protocols and see what happens.

I digged on this topic and found that opendns servers are listening on port 5353 too.
So I should try to remap requests to port 53 to port 5353
I will try to create an iptables rule
