So - A friend of mine who lives a ways away had geek squad come over and have them "fix" is network problem. He as have some latency issues and overall slow performance. He is also an Apple Fanboy.
He DIY'd his Ethernet installation when he built his home with my help. He installed an Asus Dark Knight router initially after I talked him out of an Airport extreme. Anyway - he had some issues and called the blue shirts to come fix and to buy and Apple Airport Extreme.
He got a printed report from geek squad which he showed me. It indicated that the cable modem connection to the router was 568A and HAD to be 568B. Is this true or just a smoke screen. He has some terminal block in his home to leviton wall plates. He must be consistent 568A throughout his home.
Is the geek squad guy right? Does it matter?
