Hello,

I cannot Login to GT-AX6000 After I unplugged and replugged a power bar (I did not move the router). I tried to reset the router and upload the previous configuration. This allows my home network to function but I cannot login to the router. I reset three times (twice with reset button and once with the WPS button) and I rebuilt the setup but as soon as I logout I cannot log back in. I noticed that the default page was http://192.168.50.1/Main_Login.asp and http://www.asusrouter.com/Main_Login.asp but now it only routes to http://router.asus.com/. I've tried all I could think of at this point, perhaps this is something simple that I am missing? Any help would be appreciated, perhaps the unit is broken?

The instructions from ASUS are to reset the router and then select advanced. I did this twice, once to restore the saved configuration and once to configure as a new router. After I setup as a new router I logged out and still could not login again. I’m confident I have the correct password in all cases.

When you setup, did you change the default 192.168.50.1 to something else?
If so, don’t.
Do not use a phone app.

I suppose you have the same IP range on the router as on your equipment: 192.168.50.1 (router) and 192.168.50.x for the rest of the network devices, including the computer from where you are configuring it.
I mean after reconfiguring the router... do it manually, make sure they are within the same range

I have left everything at default and the login is available at 192.168.50.1. I access the router using a web browser and I tried browsers on Mac, Windows, and iPad. None seem to work.

That's after clearing your browser cache???

EDIT:

and what about power cycling the modem?

EDIT2:
"I tried to reset the router and upload the previous configuration."
looking at your 1st post again, are you always reloading a saved configuration? Try from scratch.

I created my post after my third attempt when I reset the router and started from scratch. I used a wired connection and set a new password. I kept it very simple and at defaults. I wanted to go back to basics and not load any previous configuration.

This approach was because of my previous reset and hard reset and load previous configuration failed.

After the clean reset and new password all I did was logout, reboot my computer, and then try to login to the router but I couldn’t log in. I tried from another wired computer but still it wouldn’t login. One computer was a Mac mini and one was a Dell PC.

You are correct, I did not flush the browser cache but I tried three platforms (iPad as well) and a new password combination.

and a new password combination.

Is this a simple password? ASUS has rules on what works, like certain symbols can not be used, and not to exceed 16 characters.

Did you also reboot the router at the end of setting up? Possible that a reboot might correct things.

Which router port are you using to connect Login page? This bug happens sometime. ASUS never fixes it. Can you connect your router with 192.168.1.1, 192.168.2.1, 192.168.29.1, 192.168.72.1 instead of 50.1? Check it out with ipconfig.
What is your gateway from ipconfig?
Is your ISP router connected to ax6000?
