Hi, I'm using this router without issues for the last year with the Merlin firmware. I recently updated to 384.5_Beta1 and cannot update since. The firmware update process seems to go through properly and then it returns to the main screen showing the same version. Otherwise the router is fully functional and does not exhibit any issues (OpenVPN, wired, wireless connections, range, speed all working just fine.)

I tried the following (already suggested in the forums), without any success:

- WPS + power buttons - upon reboot it comes back to the configuration page where I can start configuring the wireless networks - that works fine. I then try a firmware update and it comes back at the 384.5_Beta1 version.

- Rescue mode + Asus firmware restoration utility - I can ping my PC at 192.168.1.2 and the router at 192.168.1.1 while the power light blinks slowly. However, the utility cannot find a router in rescue mode. I tried using the CFE mini web server - it doesn't come up (although the outer replies to pings.)

Also, if I reboot the router from the web interface it comes back up alright. However, if I disconnect the power and re-connect it goes back to the wireless configuration page.

Anything I'm missing here? Any suggestions, please?

Thank you!
