Cat6 Network connections ?

New Around Here
First post and a noobie, sorry!

Wiring my home with cat6, will be using 3 computers at different locations and will be streaming HD video and HD tv with a HDhomerun network tuner (non-gigabit) to all computers. also plan on adding a NAS server in the future. Need advice on connecting my Cable Modem, Dlink wireless router D1524 and 2 Dlink DGS2208 gigabit switches. Would like Internet connectivity at all computers and gigabit speeds between computers. is this possible without a major bottle neck ?

Connect all Cat6 drops to your 2 x GigE switches.

Connect your cable modem to your wireless routers WAN port and connect the router to your GigE switch using one of the 4 available LAN ports on router.

Your bottleneck will be that DI-524 router. Its old and likely not capable of keeping up with your cable modem service. Would you consider upgrading to a new router? If so, get a Netgear WNDR3700.

Thanks for the info, I thought the router might have been a problem, got a new one on the list, watching prices .
