Change config RT-N66U DD-WRT version

I have a pair of RT-N66U's which I intend to use to set up a site to site VPN using OpenVPN. Before I do that I'd like to flash the routers to DD-WRT. From Googling it appears this might be the version to use:

dd-wrt.v24-22208_NEWD_2_K2.6_mega-RT-N66_64K.trx

Will the above version be OK or is there a better option?

The best firmware version for Asus routers comes from Merlin!

I switch away from DD-WRT due to their constant Beta Version and lack of stability.
