Combine ASUS and tp-link in mesh network, possible?

Hi,
So iv got 2 ASUS TUF-AX5400 routers, but I also have several TP-link Deco m5 units.
Is there anyway I could combine these into a single mesh network?

I understand I might be possible to use the asus as main mesh and then maybe use the Deco 5 units as extenders. But I hoped to put everything in the same mesh network if possible.

No. Mesh software is brand specific. You could use the TP link as access points.

But repeaters just working great, especially wifi 6 repeaters with Beamforming and what not. I observed no differentce between aimesh (router - extender) and extending with repeater (asus router -tplink repeater). It switches between acess points just fine. This is ridiculous, but the aimesh performes poorly compared to repeater mode. My phone stuck to my router and didnt switch to the extender where it already switched to the repeater, in my backyard not just behind the router but behind the extender, and my phone still stuck to the router in aimesh. But with repeater configuration (Asus router RT ax55-- TPLink RP 705x) it switches AP just fine, just in time. So maybe the mesh is not fully mature technology. Okay, it was a simple, only 2 access point configuration.

Easymesh is a standard, adopted by many brands. TPLink has OneMesh as propietary, but newer TPLink models use EasyMesh too. Asus only uses propietary AiMesh.

But you can combine TPLink, Cudy, Mercusys, Netgear, DLink, ZTE etc. in a EasyMesh network. Many ISP routers also support Easymesh.

Right! This page (https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/List_of_Wi-Fi_EasyMesh_Hardware) lists hardware that is supposed to be compatible with Easymesh. But, it has not been updated since 2020. Old data. Firmware has moved on since 2020 and my bet is mesh network hardware is brand specific. If it were compatible the major manufacturers would jump on it ans brag how compatible there hardware was. TPLink seems to apply that their Easymesh works with their hardware. but not the former Onemesh.
