computer won't see 5ghz band (ac66u)

i normally can figure these things out. but it just doesn't make sense.i can see the 5ghz on my iphone but it won't show up on my laptop. please help :confused::confused:
 
Is your notebook dualband WiFi enabled? Can it connect or at least 'see' any other 5GHz signal?
 
Just because your iphone can connect doesnt garantee your laptop can. Are you sure your laptop supports 5ghz?
