The ASUS RT-AC66U is no more.
The lights blinked, then went out, no further response, the unit is dead. It is in it's box and ready for UPS.

I'm sure this was just a lemon, or overseas shipping problem, but I have used Netgear products for years with no issues, so I have ordered a Nighthawk and we'll see how that goes.
