Controller Multiple AP for Large Property

mobiledynamics

Occasional Visitor
Looking to install 6 APS + 1 Outdoor AP on a large property of mine.
Ideally want to go controller-less.

Looking at Ubiquity which seems to be nicer on the budget.
I know of others who have uses the Nano in P2P and it is reliable.
I demoed a UniFi Pro awhile back. Setup was straightforward. Tried to get into MGMT via UniFi if not UniFi Discovery, but forwhatever reason, 3 months after setup, it was not letting me. I could *ping* to the static address set on the UniFi, power cycled it, but still no dice on getting in.

I did not have much time to spend trying to get into it via UniFi and I was getting it ready to return the loaner UniFi.

Other options include Aruba IAP, but they're considerably more than the UniFi.
They do seem rock solid though.

Thoughts, suggestions, advice on a controller AP you may recommend.

My only require is controllerless and POE powered

I have used Ubiquiti Unifi and Airmax products and have been very pleased with both. I have never had trouble with the management software. Now on Unifi, the Ap's do not have built in web servers for management. You have to use the Unifi controller software. But once everything is configured you don't have to leave the controller software running. The Unifi AP in my house is rock solid. It has been almost 8 months since the AP has been rebooted and no problems.
