Cradlepoint MBR900

I've used a number of Cradlepoint WiFi/3G routers in my job. I decided to get one for home, since their firmware is so very feature rich and stable. Got an MBR900 on eBay for $66, used. Came in like-new packaging, apparently unused. Works great. Their firmware for all their routers is the same and it has every bell and whistle you could want, and 5-fold more. My experiences have been mostly with the CTR500; but the one I personally bought was the MBR900 consumer/SoHo router.

These are primarily for people that want a combo ethernet WAN and 3G cellular as another WAN. I might do that if my cable modem service becomes flakey which it hasn't. But I can stick my Verizon USB modem into the Cradlepoint if/when needed and it will auto-fail-over. But without using the 3G mode, their firmware's feature set is attractive. Odd, their firmware's capabilities are described by a big HELP document in the router's web server, rather than a user manual. It updates each time you install a newer firmware version which is a fully automatic 2 minute, one-click operation.

I wouldn't rave here were it not for their track record in those I've used at work for some time.
