I'll admit... I've lived a happy life with my router set to auto channel selection with the 20/40/80 options filling up the airwaves. Everything has been fine. Well, I checked in my log files the other day and it was filling up with log spam about channels moving around because of congestion. After some homework, I found that my neighbor must have upgraded their wifi... because there is a new trendy wifi name showing up in my available networks. So I selected my channels and brought it down to a narrow band... but I'm still getting all this log spam.

I'm not getting auto channel selection, but still this ctrl channel 1 SB not aligned is filling up my log to insane amounts.

Code:
Mar 5 18:02:29 acsd: COEX: downgraded chanspec 0x1803 to 0x1001: ctrl channel 1 SB not aligned with existing 40BSS
Mar 5 18:02:29 acsd: selected channel spec: 0x1001 (1)
Mar 5 18:02:29 acsd: Adjusted channel spec: 0x1001 (1)
Mar 5 18:02:29 acsd: selected channel spec: 0x1001 (1)

Router model?

So I selected my channels and brought it down to a narrow band...
The fact that you're getting messages from acsd would normally imply that you are still using auto rather than manual channel selection.

The "downgraded chanspec 0x1803 to 0x1001" also implies that the router is switching from channel 1 at 40MHz to channel 1 at 20MHz and therefore isn't set for "narrow band".

I am seeing similar logged messages on my RT-AC88U manually set on Ch 6 with bandwidth set at 20/40. Other than seeing this in the log, seems like my connections are solid.

Bit of a random bump, but I've got this too on my AX86S. Stock FW. Granted I know this is a merlin thread.

2.4
Wireless Mode : Auto
Channel: 1
Bandwidth: 20/40
